Western & Inland Regional Land Trust Meeting
November 7, 2018, 9:30am - 2:00pm
Location: UMA South Paris Center, Room 201, 232 Main Street, South Paris, ME 04281
Presenter: The Telling Room
Cost: FREE but please RSVP
This year’s regional meetings will feature a special offering. In their evaluations for the 2018 Conference, many attendees said they found the presentation and exercises with The Telling Room to be fun, provocative and useful, and asked for more. So this fall, in addition to our open forum discussion, our friends at Portland-based The Telling Room will lead us in more exploration around finding stories that connect.
Building Community through Story: How to Establish a Writing Practice to Benefit Your Organization and Beyond
In this writing and professional development session with The Telling Room, facilitators will lead participants in structured, small-group writing workshops to craft personal stories about the places they cherish. After sharing stories, we'll gather to discuss how building a writing practice within your organization can develop healthy internal and external communication habits and a strong presence in the community.
To RSVP, contact Donna at dbissett@mcht.org.
Of course, we will still make time for the peer-to-peer exchange that we typically enjoy at our regular regional meetings. We will also provide some food to sustain you, since these meetings will be a bit longer than usual.
