Administrative Associate
The Maine Island Trail Association seeks a part time Administrative Associate to perform a wide range of clerical functions including membership payment processing, data entry, and mailing tasks.

Mahoosuc Land Trust
Administrative and Program Assistant
The Administrative and Program Assistant is primarily responsible for maintaining records and files and supporting the land protection, stewardship, development and outreach programs of the Mahoosuc Land Trust.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide general administrative and clerical support to the program staff and serve as receptionist in our office
2. Maintain financial records
3. Acknowledge gifts and donations and prepare deposits
4. Manage accounts payable
5. Manage and prepare payroll semi-monthly payroll and employment tax deposits
6. Prepare and provide monthly financial statements and reports for the Board, Treasurer and Executive Director
7. Prepare bulk mailings
8. Assist the Community Relations and Media Committee prepare for public events
9. Distribute Electronic communications to members and friends of the organization
10. Assist the Executive Director and Development Associate as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
2. Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of members and other clients to meet or exceed their expectations
3. Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness
4. Ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary
5. Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
6. Ability to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency
7. Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel as well as data base management
8. Knowledge of accounting principles
Schedule and Salary
The Administrative and Program Assistant will work up to 28 hours weekly (four seven hour days weekly). The beginning pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Medomak Valley Land Trust
Outreach and Stewardship Specialist
MVLT seeks a dependable and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Outreach and Stewardship Specialist (OSS). The OSS will work to raise awareness and knowledge of the Medomak River through outreach, educational and stewardship activities.
Medomak Valley Land Trust (MVLT) was founded in 1991 to conserve the natural, recreational, scenic and traditional land-use values of the Medomak River watershed. The watershed’s 90,000 acres encompass parts of 13 towns. To date we have conserved over 2,750 acres of land through conservation easements, donations, and fee acquisition.
Activities include working with MVLT’s Outreach Committee to recruit additional volunteers, promoting a community trail program that increases community involvement in MVLT, and enhancing the systems and organization of MVLT’s volunteer Stewardship program to promote its self-sufficiency. The OSS will also work to raise awareness and knowledge of the Medomak River through educational programs and outreach activities – coordinating a Conservation Forum, a “photograph our towns” exhibit, continuing presentations of “Wings over the Watershed,” organizing trail coalition meetings, and developing outreach materials for other activities. 25 percent of time will be devoted to working with the Alewife Restoration Project on fish counting and fishway development and approximately 30% of time will be spent on fieldwork.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work; have computer, writing and public speaking skills; and be interested in the outdoors and land conservation. This is an 11 to 12 month AmeriCorps position. Salary: $11,400, plus health care and child care benefits and a $4,725 education award on completion of service. Georges River Land Trust
Executive Director
Georges River Land Trust seeks a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization in achieving its mission to conserve and steward the natural resources and traditional character of the St. George River watershed for the public benefit. The GRLT service area encompasses river, coastal and highland landscapes of exceptional natural beauty and habitat diversity, with productive farmland, forests and fisheries. The area offers an abundance of outdoor recreational activities as well as vibrant communities with rich cultural resources.
Over the last three years, GRLT has experienced dynamic growth with expanded organizational capacity and increased conservation results. Over 1500 acres of lands are now under conservation and the developing Georges Highland Path system provides over 37 miles of hiking trails connecting people with the land. GRLT is known for its inclusive approach to community involvement in conservation with a strong volunteer presence in all aspects of its programs.
The GRLT Board seeks an Executive Director who is an experienced and seasoned leader with vision, passion and a background of accomplishment in land conservation. The position requires skills in strategic thinking, financial analysis and knowledge of land conservation policies, tools and negotiation methods. GRLT seeks a professional who values and is effective in creating strong partnership relationships with board and staff, and in nurturing long-term organizational relationships with landowners, donors, local citizens, other key constituencies and the greater land trust community. Knowledge of development is a key component of the position including successful experience in endowment planning and implementation of capital campaign fund-raising.
