Office Manager

Overview

The Medomak Valley Land Trust is an accredited land trust with more than 500 member families which has helped protect over 4,000 acres of land in the Medomak River watershed. We are looking for a temporary, part-time Office Manager. The position is 25 - 30 hours a week for the next three months. There is a possibility of extension. 

Working with a part-time Director, dedicated board members and volunteers, the Office Manager is responsible for daily administrative, development and communications support under minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing the office including technology upgrades and maintenance, organization of literature and public resource materials, answering phones
  • Preparing press releases, email blasts, and social media engagement
  • Processing donations, running reports, preparing thank you letters 
  • Preparing payments to vendors
  • Coordinating and supporting volunteer-led events
  • Coordinating the all-volunteer easement monitoring program

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Quickbooks and donor database management software – Little Green Light a plus!
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to shifting organizational needs

If you are interested in land conservation, this job is a great opportunity to learn the land trust business from the ground up. Pay range is $15 to $18 an hour depending on experience. Pro-rated holidays are paid.
