Maine Coast Heritage Trust's Conserved Lands Registry offers land trusts and other land conservation entities in Maine a way to track their conservation holdings providing participants with useful database services. The Conserved Lands Registry offers easy organization, viewing, compilation and reporting of conservation holdings while offering landowners, donors, and the public added assurance that participating organizations are committed to the long-term conservation and care of their conservation assets.

Update 12/1/08 - In 2007 the Maine State Legislature passed a bill that made changes to the Conservation Easement Act including mandatory registration of all conservation easements in a state-maintained database. The state-run conservation easement registry is currently being constructed and expected to be launched in early 2009. Once launched, MCHT staff, the MLTN Steering Committee, and current MCHT Conserved Lands Registry users will re-evaluate the utility of the MCHT Conserved Lands Registry.
