Mission Statement

To preserve, protect and enhance the natural beauty, quality and use of the land, water and total environment in the area and its watersheds, through a variety of activities.

  • Received award from Congress of Lakes Association for water quality protection efforts in 1994; environmental merit award from EPA, 2003.
  • Collaborate with Damariscotta River Association, Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association and Pemaquid Watershed Association in fundraising efforts, educational workshops and land protection
  • Published 25-year water quality report in 2002
  • Monitor water quality on an on-going basis
  • Working with Wavus Foundation, Jefferson Village School (K-8), Dept. of Environmental Protection, Know-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation Association
  • Received watershed plan and implementation grants
