In 2004, Loon Echo Land Trust purchased 1288 acres on Pleasant Mountain in Denmark. In 2004, an additional 160 acre abutting parcel was donated by the Ordway family. The photograph shows Moose Pond in the distance from the Ledges Trail, which is on this parcel and maintained by AMC. Loon Echo has partnered with The Nature Conservancy and the Lakes Environmental Association on this project.


The Sebago Headwaters Preserve will expand the Holt Pond and Bald Pate Preserves by an additional 1500 acres when completed. The Land For Maine's Future Program approved this project in 2002.
