Foothills Land Conservancy

Students from Academy Hill School in Wilton release land-lock salmon that they raised in a classroom hatchery. The project is part of a partnership with the Atlantic Salmon Federation and includes raising Atlantic and land-lock salmon and brook trout.

The fish were released into Wilson Stream which flows into Wilton's Wilson Lake through land purchased for protection by Foothills Land Conservancy.

Use of the Wilson Lake headwaters land for educational purposes is one of Foothills' stated goals for the 230 acres of conservation land.
