Mission Statement

SWLA is committed to achieving the permanent protection and restoration of the lands and waters and their indigenous species within the upper Sheepscot River watershed essential to the ecological health of the region. SWLA shall accomplish that goal through conservation easements; land acquisition; public environmental advocacy and education; the support of sound scientific research; and management plans, insuring that the health, activity, and evolution of the natural world take precedence.
