Mission Statement

The goal of the Conservation Collaborative is to increase the effectiveness of the conservation organizations and to strengthen the regional network between these organizations in York and Cumberland County.

Quick Facts

  • Number of Staff: 2.00
      • Founded: 2012
In addition to providing a service center through which land trusts can buy professional, administrative services to support their land conservation work, SMCC functions as a network of land trusts across the region.  The Board of Directors envisions a number of spin-off benefits, such as joint educational programming, cooperative purchasing of expensive equipment and raising the profile of land conservation generally in Southern Main  The flexibility of the service center also will allow conservation organizations who need additional staff help on an occasional basis to plug in and purchase those services when needed, thus avoiding the need to increase their own staff. - See more at:
