The Grants Officer’s primary duties are to identify and track funding opportunities for awards from private foundations, corporate foundations, and municipal, state, and federal sources; write proposals and reports; lead and coordinate grant-writing activities across the organization; track grant reporting deadlines and coordinate report compilation; oversee a portfolio of funders with which the Grants Officer and/or additional MFT leadership should maintain and/or cultivate relationships. This position can be based out of Maine Farmland Trust’s Portland or Belfast office, or can be remote but must remain based in Maine.
