The non-profit Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests seeks a self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong computer and database management skills. The Membership Specialist is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and smooth operation of membership and development functions including gift processing, data entry, donor acknowledgements, and exemplary customer service, and supports the administrative functions of the membership/development team. We are looking for a candidate who is proficient with Windows, MS Office, and donor database applications – particularly Raiser’s Edge. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain donor and gift records with a high level of accuracy, and prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a busy environment.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position based at the Conservation Center at
54 Portsmouth Street in Concord, NH.

The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests was founded in 1901 to “perpetuate the forests of New Hampshire through their wise use and complete reservation in places of scenic beauty.” The Forest Society owns and manages 191 Forest Reservations totaling over 57,000 acres located in more than 100 New Hampshire communities. As a land trust it holds more than 750 conservation easements protecting an additional 130,000 acres statewide. Our 10,000 members make us what we are today – a unique blend of visionary land trust, balanced environmental advocate and intelligent forestry association. We think it’s a winning combination – for New Hampshire’s beautiful landscapes, its caring people and for the many generations to come.

If you enjoy working both independently and in a cooperative team-approach in a challenging, at times fast-paced, but always rewarding, setting you may be the right person for this position.
