Maine Coast Heritage Trusts Presents:
2024 Maine Land Conservation Conference

Friday and Saturday, April 12-13th
Mt. Ararat Middle School & Orion Performing Arts Center

Thanks for a great Conference!

If you attended, please help us out by completing your post-event survey, which was sent to you via the email address you used to register.

Due to inclement weather, the Friday afternoon Ash Protection Collaborative Across Wabanakik workshop at Androscoggin Woods has been postponed until June. We’ll share information and the new date on our events page when we know more.

Each year, Maine Coast Heritage Trust presents the annual Maine Land Conservation Conference for and with Maine’s robust land conservation community. We come together to train on best practices in all aspects of land trust work, connect with our peers, and grapple with the most pressing issues facing land conservation today. Learn about past conferences here

The 2024 Maine Land Conservation Conference will transpire over two days, from Friday morning, April 12th to late afternoon on Saturday the 13th. Sessions on Friday, April 12, will take place at various locations and include in-depth learning opportunities, field trips, and a social gathering at Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick.

The main event on Saturday, April 13, will take place at the Mt. Ararat Middle School and Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham from approximately 8am-4:30pm. It will include our keynote address, Weaving Wisdoms: Introducing the New NSF Science Technology Center for Braiding Indigenous Knowledge and Science, by Dr. Bonnie Newsom. Read more about Bonnie below.

Special Meetings

As part of the Conference, MCHT will also be hosting two meetings on Friday afternoon: the Land Trust Executive Directors meeting will take place at the Topsham Public Library from 1:30-3:30pm and the Maine Climate & Environmental Funders Drop-in Networking Event will be from 2:30-4:30pm at MCHT’s Topsham offices in Suite 207.
