The Saco River Corridor Commission seeks a 24-hour-per-week Administrative Assistant to start in August or early September 2026. The Administrative Assistant will perform essential office tasks including drafting and editing documents; filing and scanning; preparing presentation materials and mailings; answering phones, and other tasks as required. Applicants will be expected to learn, understand, and communicate the standards of the Saco River Corridor Act, and will work closely with the Executive Director and Administrative Coordinator. Experience and aptitude in technical writing and in reading/listening comprehension are essential. Attention to detail, ability to work independently on detailed tasks once trained, and the desire to work as part of an efficient, coordinated team are also key to the position. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Excel are expected. Experience with SharePoint or ArcGIS is helpful but not required.

The SRCC welcomes applicants with experience in various administrative roles but particularly code enforcement, legal or regulatory work, or similar. The position is best suited to a reliable individual who takes pride in thorough, high-quality work. If desired by a successful applicant, this role has the potential to expand to include more hours per week in upcoming years.

The position has a starting rate of $20-21/hour depending on qualifications. Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays are prorated to the number of hours worked (60% of full-time benefits).
