Land Trusts Will Gather Together for the First Time Since 2019

Little did we know when we held our last in-person Conference in Topsham in April of 2019 that it would be four long years until we could safely gather together again. Now Maine Coast Heritage Trust is super excited to invite Maine’s land trust community to join us on May 3rd at the Samoset Resort in Rockport for an afternoon and evening of speakers, conversation, reconnecting, and celebration.

This spring, MCHT decided on a hybrid format for the annual Conference. During eight webinars in the month of March, Maine land trusts are exploring a variety of topics both challenging and inspiring, including IT Security, Media Relations, Ecological Beaver Management, Soundscape Ecology, and The Solar Conundrum, to name just a few. The Conference will culminate in an in-person gathering on May 3rd that will include presentations on tools for climate mitigation, efforts to protect the threatened Brown Ash trees in the state, the future of land stewardship and more.

Attendance will be limited to 300 people so if you’re interested in attending you should register early! Tickets are $75 and include snacks, dinner, and dessert. Get more information and register here.
